KENNETH POUND, PSY.D. - CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of New York, having obtained my M.A. and doctorate (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology at The Wright Institute, Berkeley, California. I am a graduate of Columbia University Medical Center's Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (Certified Psychoanalyst); St. Mary's Hospital, San Francisco (Internship); UCSF Medical Center, Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute (Externship); California College of the Arts, College Counseling Center (Post-doctoral Fellowship).

I am a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry, College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University Medical Center, and in the Columbia University Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research and a Chair of the Recruitment Division, Columbia Center For Psychoanalytic Training and Research.  I am a fomer Associate Director of Externship at Columbia University Medical Center and a current Clinical Supervisor for City University of New York in their doctoral psychology program; I have been faculty member in several other graduate psychology programs in New York and California; and was Director of Doctoral Studies and Predoctoral-Intern Director at the California Institute for Psychotherapy.

I have an active interest in thinking and writing about the intersection of psychoanalysis and the arts and the impact of culture on psychology.
